Titleist Tips: Short-Sided Bunker Shot

1 min
Added on February 27, 2025
Knowing where to miss golf shots is often just as important as knowing where to hit them. This is particlularlty true when it coes to short-siding yourself – missing an approach shot to the side of the green on which the hole is cut. Leaving yourself short-sided leaves you with less green to work with, which greatly reduces your room for error as you try to get up and down.

We golfers are only human, though, so what can you do when you make that inevitable mistake and leave yourself a short-sided bunker shot? Fortunately for us, Titleist staff member Cameron McCormick has a solution - a “dead-handed bunker shot” as he calls it, that will help you loft it softly with a lot of spin the next time you find yourself beached on the wrong side of the cup.
