I am curious to see if anyone else has had experience with bending their 46 degree wedge stronger for better gapping? I am aware that it decreases the bounce 1 degree each degree you bend. I am not too worried about the bounce, as I actually like to play with lower bounce. My 9 iron is at 40 degrees and I have a 50 degree vokey wedge as well. I am seeing around the same distance with my 46 and 50 degree vokeys, hence the thought of bending my 46 wedge stronger. Anyone have any recommendations?

  2. I have bent all my vokeys at one time or another 1-2 degrees...currently, I have my 60T bent one degree weak. It is a great way to fine tune your distances if needed.

    Cheers!
  3. RAW's bent easiest while Chrome are hardest to bend....FWIW

    My setup is 48-10F, 54-10S bent 2* strong. 58-06K and Phil 64 standard loft. I have a 60-14K, 60-04L, SM6 58-12K and 60-12K all 2* strong because I like the bounce.

48-10F bent to 46 is a perfect pitching wedge because 8* is the magic bounce. My wedge gapping is 46-54-58-64 (56-12D bent 2* strong). For Torrey Pines, replace 56-12D with 54-10S and add 58-12D. My wedge setup in 2013 was SM4 54-11M, 58-06L and 64-07T. Carried AP1 8-P. The Sumo2 SQ is back in the bag.
