It's almost that time of year here in the UK. Wheres everyone playing as members this coming year?

I'm playing at Moray Golf Club in Lossiemouth. New club for me so looking forward to getting started.

Just got my new TSR3 and really excited for the season ahead.

I play of 17.4 but haven't played competition level or even put a card in for a long time. This year I'm planning more cards going in to get down. 15 is the reasonable aim so see how goes. What's everyone's aims this year?

Anyone going anywhere to play outwith the UK or their home country?

Hope everyone has a great season

Looking forwards to playing more than last year, definable feeling optimistic after playing quite well throughout the winter.

Love Moray golf course. Up again this year to play it in the team open in September and always enjoy the weekend.

    Evening!

I currently play my golf out of Burghely Park Golf Course, Stamford in Lincolnshire.

I live in Peterborough which is a 10 minute drive away, so not to bad to get too.

So like yourself I was out of Golf for a while due to my Dad passing away so my handicap was 9.6 a few years back but by not having the drive or time to practice I had to submit new cards and it was awful to be honest. I have 2 more to put In but currently showing 16.3 but over the past 4/5 weeks played with some new members and had a few lessons my last 3 cards show 81,80 & 81 and I reckon I can shave 2/3 shots of that. My course is a par 70 so excited to get the next few cards done once the tees re-open as currently playing of matts.

Myself and my brother are flying to Portugal in a few weeks to play at Dom Pedro Golf Resort for 3 days of golf.

Also got Walton Health booked in with a member on this forum who kindly invited me to play 18 holes with him.

My aim this year is to get to single figures and to spend more time playing golf with my brother in Surrey.

I hope you have a great season and welcome back to the game! Hope you have fun.
  5. Good to know your course will be in full flow

I know when I played in the UK I was aways excited when I could get out in the better weather

Don't really have that problem now I live and play in Texas
  6. Looking forward to my golf this year.......

My twins are now 18 months old and my lad is at Nursery 2/3 times a week so when I am not on shift working hoping to get out a lot more this year - last year was a busy one and didnt even have enough cards to qualify for our Club Championships :(

HC started to come down towards the end of last year and the start of this one, so now officially down to 9.3 on the new HC system but have to try cut out silly shots/decisions and hoping to get that to 5 this year

Now that its Masters weekend, this is the time of year I say that Golf Season starts in the UK been a glorious 2/3 days in the Midlands and Ive been stuck in the office :(

But hope the year goes well and we can all play some decent Golf :)

Just wanted to give you a little update really, had 2 lessons in the past few weeks working on my iron play.

Wow wow wow. Been learning so much with my new coach, not just on the swing but also attack angles and hitting down on the ball.

To be fair yes it’s on a range hitting of grass but boy I can see and feel the difference.

My drive is to get to 9 this season, and keep it there.
  8. Good luck for the coming golf season
  9. Already ticked off a bucket list course for 2023.....old course st andrews! Played her on the 6th April! First week off the fairways! Was a dream. Heading to USA in May and trying to get on Pebble Beach!
