Misty morning ruined by 3 putts

  1. A Misty and chilly start but unusually no breeze for a bogie comp. three careless 3-putts (two misses from just over a foot) on the front nine and a triple meant it was a frustrating start - but playing one over on the back nine made up for it (playing off 13)!

    Happy golfing.

It's really getting autumnal now, as your picture clearly shows (well, not so clearly due to the mist!).
Sounds like a very lucrative back nine!

    Keep grinding pal.

    Do you practice your putting?
  6. Not really - my playing partners did comment I was pulling my head up on the short putts so that helped on the back nine.

Practice practice practice! I spend 1 hour on the range and probably a hour and half around and on the greens.

I know time sometimes don’t allow us to practice as much as we like so when at home if you can grab a putt out mate. There very useful.
  8. Still beats any morning at work
  9. Bizarrely- turns out I actually won the comp on the day. The glory of count back!

    Lethbridge,

I’m sitting looking out my window at snow on the ground that caused our course to close early. I am very envious that you get to play at one of the top courses in England on a misty morning. Happy golfing.
