  1. So been laid up for the last six months, back went again, so haven't played since June/July.

Need to gently get back to the course, probably a 28 HC now, so wish me luck....

    I feel your pain!

In 2104, I damaged 3 discs in my lower back and was unable to swing a club for a year. It then took a considerable time to re-build both strength and confidence.

From experience, be realistic about how much you can do and don't be tempted to do too much too soon. I started popping out with my son after work, initially in a buggy and simply putting. Once comfortable with this, I introduced a bit of chipping and gradually worked back from the green, eventually getting to pitching and finally back to full swing.

Touch wood, I've been fine since.

Persevere, set yourself little targets and get back out there...

Feel your pain....I had 3 months off work and longer off the course after a knee op.

Hopefully like me you used the time to work on your putting...

Don't rush back and hopefully 2019 will be a great year.

Been out for 4 weeks now with my back. Have lovely titleist balls to test and review and get near the course yet :(
