I just got the above (my first Titleist bag) and have used it for walking and works great. I used it this week in the cart and it won't fit! That crazy foot on the bottom is in the way! To secure it, I have to strap it sideways which sucks! I bought this for the versatility of using it for walking and on carts.

Found out recently that the 2011 stand bag(s) are "cart friendly". Was it only the last two years that these bags didn't fit in carts? What's up with that?

If I would have known, I would have waited.

I love Titleist and use their irons, wedges, own a few scotty camerons, headcovers, and use their ball. Unfortunately, this bag sucks!

Does anybody else have this problem as well?

its only been the last year and a half or so that the bags didnt fit in the carts, its not because the bags have changed, its because someone at Club Car designed the back of the cart too narrow and now the normal stand bags with a stand do not fit.

the newer titleist/sun mountain bags for next year have been updated with a shorter foot so it doesnt stick out as far

IMO don't blame sun mountain or Titleist, its the golf cart manufacturers fault.

    Great post,

I thought I was going nuts.   I usually walk, but I was paired with a lone cart rider.   He offered his cart.   My Titleist stand bag was floppin' sideways and sticking off the back.   I got so messed up, I started to walking after 3 holes.  Probably the guys at Club Car worked designing airline seats. LOL

Or maybe they did it for their customers, the golf club that collects cart fees.

You're not crazy. And it's not a new problem. I bought my Titleist bag in 2006 and it has always needed to be loaded into carts sideways. However, I don't know that it would be much sturdier if fit straight. Its oval shape doesn't fit snugly into the round curve of the cart. And the plastic at the TOP of the bag stand makes it prone to sliding.

If Titleist/SM has reduced the foot size for 2011, that's great news.

Thanks for all the replies. It is frustrating having the bag sideways.

It will definitely make me walk more which is a good thing.

I discovered this problem when I had to take a cart (Malibu Country Club)

I'm not ready to dole out more $$$ for another bag as I just got new AP1s, Vokeys, 5 boxes of ProV1x. I have a few Camerons too so I'm a little tapped out.
