I went to the practice round yesterday at East Lake Golf Club and got to spend a good amount of time on the range and watching the Titleist staff members on the course. What a day!

The highlight has to be meeting and watching Steve Stricker. Strick really is one of the good guys, a true gentleman and really just a good guy. He had no problems signing autographs and posing for pictures. He wil even chat you up a little. Just a great dude. I was on the range and watching Strick warm up and try out differnet drivers on trackman. He was hitting two "identical" drivers, the new 913 with the same shaft and it was so cool to see how much fun he was having hearing the numbers. His numbers must have been significantly different betweent he two "identical" shafts because he was laughing and raising his arms up in celebration of them. Tiger was next to him and watching and when the big numbers came up Tiger was just smiling and then Strick got a high five from him.

I just thought you all would enjoy hearing about that experience. A great day and I can't wait to go back this weekend.

I play his home course in Madison.  Anything you see about Strick and his support of local charities is genuine.  The only thing different about him from anyone else there is he has the only flat black Ford pickup on the lot.  And you can stop by in January and drive yellow balls into the snow the same way he did from the shed (actually a 3 sided trailer with a massive curtain) when he was getting his game back in '05/'06.

That's great to hear. Hopefully one day I will be able to hit balls into the snow up there. He is a great guy!

Sounds like a great time.  I would do almost anyhing to get to go hangout and watch those guys practice.  Stricker truly is a gentlemen of the game, and have never heard anything bad about him.  It also must have been sweet watching Tiger out there practice.  Congrats and have a grat time this weekend!

Steve is the same Pro that just received the Payne Stewart Award and it is obvious why he got this great achievement. h\He is, wothout a doubt, one of the finest and most humble players on the Pro Tour. Just watching him is a pure pleasure for me and i can only wish him the best.
