I recently got fit for my first Cameron putter. The Phantom X 5.5 is a gorgeous putter and the way the ball comes off the face is smoother than a knife in warm butter. I’m super excited to add this to the bag!

Added this to my bag the first week it was released. I switched the grip from the Pistolini to a Super Stroke and it will be my gamer for a while. I liked the look and design when it was announced but I had concerns about the toe-flow which was more than my Notchback; based on how it feels, maybe I needed more toe-flow than I thought. I was fit for my Notchback and the fitting didn't reveal that the added toe-flow was going to help me.

Thanks y’all! So far I’m loving the putter and making plenty of lengthy putts! I LOVE it!!
  9. I had the 5.5 from 2019. When they released the 2021's I went with the 5. You can't beat the feel of Scotty. Some of my buddies think I am crazy spending $500+ on a putter, but it is the most important club in your bag. When you finish a round with less than 30 putts, and shoot 76 it is worth every penny. Enjoy.

Enjoy. I have a 2021 5.5 as well and my putting has improved significantly coming from a 1.5 Newport.
  11. Agree 100% as I also have the 5.5 and love it. Comes off the face very nice and forgiving when not hit in the center :-)

I bought the original 5.5 a few years back and found it to be easiest putter I had ever used for alignment. I just got the newest 5.5 (like yours pictured) and like this putter even better. It is as forgiving and as accurate as any putter I have owned. As far as distance control, it is the best I have owned. I’m 72 years old, and will probably play with it until for the rest of my life.

Just purchased one today, but have not used it on the course. I have a feeling that it will knock my GOLO CS out of the bag!

My prior Cameron putters have been blade designs and the Phantom X 5.5 is my first (I have since added the Triple Black) mallet style and it has performed very well.

My 5.5 just came today! My only complaint would be I can’t see me having to use this more than 18 times a round it’s that delicious! :p

If it’s good enough for JT, Homa and Cantlay to game it, it’s got to be doing something right!

Picking up my first Scotty in a couple of weeks Phantom X5.5. It's 35" with 10g weights and I will be cutting it to 34". So it's recommended to use 15g weights, but I don't see them listed on this site. Where can I buy them?

RGB, the weights can be hard to remove. Scotty sells a removal tool that fits a standard ratchet wrench. You an go to YouTube to see how to videos.

Save yourself some money and just buy a 34" from the factory putter.

Hi,@RGB,only place to be sure there authentic you have to send your putter to scotty cameron custom shop and the weights cost about $75 or so not counting shipping and insurance both ways but you can always find some authentic weights on ebay from cameron sellers good luck

I've got the same putter. I ended up changing out the weights from 10g to 20g to help with my preferred feel and style. Overall, this has been one of the best putters / weight combinations that I have put in the bag. I have traditionally used a blade like others, but this putter has a great look at set-up for me.

I’ve been gaming the X5.5 since it came out. I own A LOT of putters and I’m known to change frequently … probably too often. The X5.5 just doesn’t leave the bag. The only thing I can see displacing the X5.5 is the new X7.5. One of the Tour pros at my club had one on the putting green the other day and it is spectacular. The FTUO version has a welded neck that is spectacular!! I hope these come to retail soon.
  23. I got an H21 in December. Great putter. However, I’ve seen the T7.2 proto with the plumbing neck. That will probably be even better!
