Brand new Select Newport in the bag today. ‘Had to walk back THREE TIMES to find my cover, after the marshall brought it back on the first fairway. Now its just plain missing ! I’m not a happy camper. You’dd figure that, with that price tag, I would have been supplied one that stay’s on and pass over the flimsy and week velcro on such a craftsman product.

Am I the only one who had to deal with this situation ?

I have mine attached to my bag with an elastic string. I think after falling off 3 times I would have put it in the bag pocket. Way too expensive to replace.

I've found that the simplest way to not lose my Scotty head covers is to not use them. I opt to purchase non-descript head covers that are fairly inexpensive, so that if I do lose one it's not as painful.

I agree with Barry. The velcro on the Scotty covers are somewhat flimsy, so I just use a leather Yankees headcover with a magnetic closure. Also, after seeing a couple of my buddies (on separate occasions) get their Scottys nicked from their bags while they're in the pro shop or in the bathroom, I've decided to stop using the Scotty headcovers on the course entirely. They seem to be a magnets for sticky fingers.

Never had that problem and have never lost a SC head cover at a golf course. I always make sure mine is secured or most times I leave it off my putter in the back of the riding cart. Due to a current medical condition I cannot, unfortunately, walk and play golf. I play at a local municipal course, in the early am and most everyone there knows everyone playing there that time of the day and we look out for one another. Things do get lost at the course with 65,000 rounds being played there annually.

I do not use my SC head cover on my 2018 Select Newport 2. I hate the Velcro and it’s not useable when you walk. I bought a magnetic closing head cover at PGA West earlier this year and use that. I wish Scotty Cameron would use the AME magnetic closing headcovers. I like head covers you game, not display. Come on Scotty Cameron.

This has been a huge pet peeve of mine. I've lost hundreds of dollars worth of Scotty's glorious head covers. Some of them, limited edition covers which really got me angry. I even wrote Scotty a personal letter (never heard back). I got tired of being pissed off and frustrated and simply don't use them anymore. All my Cameron putters are beat up and nicked up because I've stopped using covers for them, but I'd rather have that than the sheer anger and Incredible Hulk type rage of losing another prized cover.
  8. I dropped my Cameron and Crown cover at my home course early in the season and it never came back. If I had been any where else I would have gone back and got it,!but I never dreamed no one would turn it in.

I put a grommet through my headcover and attached it to my bag with a few zip ties. No more lost headcovers for me.

I've never lost any of mine including some that are 12 years old.

I agree a scotty cover is a red flag for a thief. I have a habit of using a cheapo at a new course. I've never had anyone steal a walmart putter.

The velcro issue should be a easy fix....by the company.

Anti theft is the reason I use my school's headcovers on my driver, 3W, and putter. I keep the original headcovers at home.
    Never had anything stolen.

I have never lost one. Even the ones that have weak velcro. But I am always careful on where I put it
  14. I've had Cameron's in my bag for years now. Thankfully I've never lost a cover or had something taken from my bag. Not to say I don't stress a bit, when making the turn and go in for a snack, or checking in at the beginning of a round. Try to leave my bag within eyeshot of where I'm at.
Personally I love the covers. Allows me to add some color and a personal touch to the look of my bag.

It's about the putter not the putter cover. The putter cover is a billboard, so find a cover to protect your investment.

I haven’t used my head cover from SC, instead, I am using a cheap, plain magnetic cover I picked up on Amazon. I wish Cameron would just do the magnets instead of Velcro. I’ve never had good luck with Velcro covers.
