On a boys trip/annual tournament to Shawnee Golf resort, we were on our 26th hole of the day. Shawnee has 3 different 9s, so after playing the white and the blue course for 18, we were finishing up the last 9 of the red course. Fighting daylight we pulled up to the 8th hole, a straight 150 yard par 3. We were told to be in by 8pm, and right at 8pm we tee’d off, a perfect 9 iron and the best swing of the day, tracking the flag it was a one hop and a roll in. We weren’t sure if it went in, so we ran up to the green and it was in the cup (Titleist ball of course), all 3 of our groups went absolutely ballistic. As we were celebrating the ranger came up to kick us off because of daylight, but after seeing what happened, they let all 3 of our groups finish out the round, which took us to near darkness.
