I got my first witnessed hole-in-one today on #7 at Fair Oaks Ranch Country Club, witnessed by Dr. Jason Pete and his son Joshua. The distance was 143 yards. Wind was right to left and helping slightly. I chose a 9 iron and teed up a Titleist AVX ball. It landed a few feet in front of the hole and disappeared. Dr. Pete and I could not tell what happened to the ball due to full sunshine and a very "shiny" green. The young eyes of his son Joshua declared "I think it went in the hole". We could not see it but there was a bunker right in front of the hole and I feared/suspected that was it's location. They both found the green and hit after I did. When we got to the green their were only two balls visible. I checked the bunker first (common things are common) and then the hole. I couldn't believe it was in the cup....but it was.
