Our club changes the course layout for championship weeks , so our 9th hole becomes the 18th . A lovely par 3 over a pond that was playing 126 yds. that day. I was a little miffed at havong 3 putted the previous two holes. the last one from 15 ft.! I hit the ball right at the flag and said " Go In" , hoping to avoid another 3 putt, and it did!! Tracked right in to the hole on my last shot of the day. I was able to tell people that I had a hole in one on the 18th hole at North Halton , (which is not usually possible, as it is a 500 yd par 5!!) But it was that day.
