  1. So my swing is pretty good. But when I tee off I completely slice the ball or hit it fat. Any tips that will work?

Get to a swing coach. There are about a dozen things you could be doing, and a least a dozen things you could do to correct each... but only a good swing analysis is going to give you the right answer. You need height speed video (an iPhone or Android is never going to capture it) to slow the swing down enough to break it down. If it’s grip, maybe it’s easy and instantaneous, but if it’s anything else it may take a while.

I agree; there could be many different causes for those two very different problems, and a PGA Teaching Professional can help get you back on track. That said when you hit it fat (generally speaking) you're probably moving your head and/or coming at it so steep you get stuck and lay the sod over it.

Best option is to seek professional help. It's the only true way you can find out what is the main contributor to the swing that produces that shot you speak of. We all have ideas & little tweaks to work out, but they can also be counterproductive without seeing or knowing what you have going on in person.

Agree with Mike M. Most likely if a combo of fat and slice would be too steep and outside to in path. Only a good eye watching you swing could say for sure. I lesson might seem expensive but the pleasure of a lasting correction will be well worth it.

Let me be the fifth person in line to tell you to go see a professional. Any number of things you could be doing wrong. A suggestion, after you finish your lesson, write down what you need to do to fix this issue. You might forget it in a couple of weeks after the lesson. Good Luck! I wish I had taken lessons when I was younger!
  7. I focus on not holding a strong grip (weak and light) and make sure I end up on my front heel. This all makes for a better swing path outside to in and makes a draw or hook more than a dreaded slice. Best of luck straightening it out!

Hope you see the humor in my response, because it is not intended with any disrespect. If you were to sprain your hand and it affected your ability to swing you club, would you contact us, or a Doctor? Anytime you have a problem with you game, go to a "swing doctor" and get it fixed. I know everyone has an opinion on how to correct a swing issue, and these are what I call band aide fixes without seeing the problem, from amateurs like yourself. Band aide fixes do not solve problems in golf!!!!! They always come back unless fixed by a professional. With the utmost respect to your question and concern. Cheers.
