Just how waterproof are the stadry stand bags?

I’ve just gotten back from a very wet week in Turkey, and my current ‘water resistant’ bag didn’t hold up very well at all. Everything inside the pockets was soaked.

So I’m looking for a new bag the stadry has got my attention

The older versions of StaDry bags had seam sealed zippers, which I am sure helped. Also, no embroidery to break the surface of the material. One thing to consider is whether the pockets are getting wet from the inside. Are you using a waterproof bag hood to keep rain from entering the top of the bag? Do you wipe the clubs off (shafts, grips) before putting them into the bag? If not, the other clubs are going to get wet, and if things are wet enough, the water will also soak through the bag from the inside out. These are tricks from my caddie days!

Thanks for the reply, some good info there for me to go off.

I don’t expect any bag to be 100% waterproof, but I don’t expect to have soaking wet pockets on a so called water resistant bag (not a Titleist bag)

I have a StaDry cart bag from about 5 years ago and I’m pretty happy with that. I’ll go and have a look at some StaDry stand bags and see what I think.

I’m not sure the hood was waterproof, and I always try to wipe the clubs down best I can before putting them back in the bag.

Do you know if the stadry stand bags come with a waterproof hood?
