I recently upgraded from TSR 1 driver (stock shaft) to GT 1 driver with premium shaft (Ventus White)..There was a delay with delivery with shaft. Fitter contacted me last week & recommended we put order on hold. He had just completed two fittings with similar trackman numbers as me with the new Graphite Design Tour Advantage FI shaft (senior flex) and thought I should give it a look.

Fitting was today - results were eye opening. Ventus White felt solid/stable and a big improvement from existing TSR1 driver. The FI shaft was an even bigger improvement . Faster ball speed, longer carry distance, and tighter dispersion over both the TSR1 and the Ventus GT 1.

While I am sure the Ventus White would have been fine, the Graphite Design FI is off the charts. This shows the importance of a getting fit by an experienced fitter. Yes I got lucky by the delay (the FI was not released when I was originally fitted ) but i am thankful for a second chance .

Curious that Cameron Young plays the GT1 in 3 wood and hybrid, with heavier than typical shafts. Might have to check on that. I'm sure that if I go that route I will be right up there with him in quality of play.
