  1. Looking to fill the gap for next season. I added a 4 hybrid to the bag this year and have really enjoyed it from several scenarios. I rarely hit my 3 or 4 irons now. For next year I’d like to get something to fill the gap between my 3 wood (265 yards) and my 4 hybrid (235 yards). As well as I’ve struck the hybrid I have been thinking of adding a 3 hybrid, but then again a 5 wood would probably fill that void well also. What are your guys thoughts for those who have one or the other or even both in the bag rotation?

The answer will come from someone that loves hybrids or fairways or driving irons. No one knows your swing like you do. Work with a dealer to try all three directions.

I had a 3 hybrid in the bag, wasn't hitting it well so I switched out for the 5 wood. It is a preference to what feels right or what kind of window you want to hit. I just love the flight of my GT2 5wood. Good luck in which ever club you decide on dropping in the bag.

I would probably go for a 5 Wood. I‘m just thinking to as an Hybrid 3 or 4 to my back….at the moment, I only Play my Iron 4 or Wood 3, but have no good idea for the second cut.

I added a 5 wood this year to my bag. At first, I was not sure but my fitter suggested adding it. I love this club and very happy with the decision to buy it.

Gapping is super tough as the lengths of the fairways/hybrids are several inches different. A 3 hybrid can be 2-3 inches shorter than a five wood, with similar lofts. As the guys have stated, better spend time with a good fitter, and I don't recommend buying until the 2nd appointment. It may cost a little more, but take your time. Goodluck!

As a 73 yr old (3 handicap) I've switched out my 3, 4, and 5 irons with hybrids. Best equipment decision I've made. Easier to hit and for me has made up for the distance lost. Getting old sucks....
