I’ve wasted so much money on fittings. I grew up playing golf and quit for about 20 years. Now in my 40’s I was told I have two options. 1 become a history buff or 2 become a grill expert. So I did what every irresponsible person does and picked up golf. I think golf fittings are somewhat a joke. I was fitted first for cally AI Smoke. Had those for about a week, then to the TM Stealth, then to Sri onZxi4 (or something) then to the TM P790s. I hated all those clubs. The fitter was excited to see a 7 iron bomb out to 200yards but I wasn’t. As I was watching YouTube the other day I ran across this European fitter and really liked the information he was putting out. So once again I head to the pga superstore and trade in the P790s. The fitter was like let’s try Titleist T200, respectfully I said no and asked why I would trade in the P790s for the T200 aren’t they equivalent? So I pushed for the T150’s and T100’s. At the end of the day I picked up the T100’s went to the course and shot my best ever round. The best thing was I was able to use all my clubs and I knew that a solid hit on the 7iron was going 165 and a bad hit was going 150. Those numbers are better then 150 to 200. So what I’m trying to say is, don’t always listen to the fitter and if you are a fitter don’t always try to sell the game improvement irons. Lengthy but thoughts are welcome? Honestly I’m just trying to get some free swag or test products from Titleist.
