It looks like the 917 drivers have the same short head covers. My 816 head cover has fallen off three times and luckily I've found it every time. The shorter head cover is much easier to take on and off but there are new problems associated with them. I don't know what the fix is and am curious to see if I have bag wear on my shafts.

I had my wife sew on some extensions out of black thick socks. works like a champ. Agree they are too short. I dont have the 816, but my 913h is the same way. I hate bag rash.

I have a 915H1 21 degree and a 816H1 25 degree. The 915 has slid off on multiple occasions and the 816, as short as it is, has stayed put once I put it all the way on.

I agree. I don't like the headcovers without the sock. Disappointing that the 917 is looking like it is going that direction.

I'm curious why the 816 Hybrids and the 917 Driver/Fairway woods headcovers don't match?
I've never seen that and candidly, I am very disappointed with this look.
Titleist has always been the golf club manufacturer that was not flashy, had consistentcy and congruency with their designs.
Big mistake and I hope they correct this soon.
Oh yeah, what's with the grey paint job on the 816's.
