    910F 13.5* - A1 setting

My question is this. What should I go with? I've gone back and forth about getting another 910F in a 17* and swapping out the 3i (21*) with a 910H 21*.

Or, should I simply go with a 910H 19* and leave the 3i in the bag. I hit everything pretty well, I'm just at a loss around 210-230 because I don't always have a favorable wind with the 3i and the 910F is obviously too strong.

I only carry 13 clubs, so there's a bit of leeway there...

Thanks in advance for the help!

Depends on how well and how much you use your 3 iron.  I personally don't hit my 3 iron well so I switched to a 21* hybrid.  Works much better for me.  Then I would go with either a 19* or 17* wood.  I used to have a 19* but traded it in.  Needless to say it was the worst decision I ever made.  Hope this helps!

My go to fairway wood has always been around 20* loft (Trimetal 21, 975F 20.5, 980F 19, Warbird Heavenwood, Burner 2007 7W). I have a 910F 19* set to B3.  Most indispensible wood because you can hit it off just about any lie.   They also are much more accurate than a 3 wood.

I use my 3 iron pretty often, and I (generally) hit everything in the bag well. It was more of a gap issue for me, not so much a "I can't hit a club" issue.

I ended up buying a 910H 17* yesterday after using one as a demo club for a couple of rounds a while back.

Thanks for all the replies and ideas, I really appreciate it.

Have you thought about 910F 19* set to D1 (that makes the loft 18.25*) - it gets a few more yards vs the 910H and you have the standard 1-3-5 wood setup and 3-PW iron setup.  Leaves room for an extra wedge.

    910F 17* at A1 is a good setting and use 910H 21* at A1 (or maybe D1 for 20.25*).

I play my 910F 19* as a 7 wood (B3 setting) but I also have the shaft shortened 1/2"  and have a 43 gram Excel RF grip.

Continuing on from my previous post....

Try a 910F 19* alongside the 910H 19*.  You don't know whether or not you hit a fairway wood better than a hybrid of the same loft.  Before succumbing to the hybrid hype, need to compare them.

I found out 6 years ago that I fare better with a 5 wood vs a 2 or 3H.  Still true today.
