Hi Bob, We do have players choosing lightweight steel shafts for the AP2's, CB's and occasionally, the MB's. For the 712 AP2's, CB's and MB's, the NS Pro 105T's, the 950's and 850's will be 3 swingweight points light, the NS pro 970 will be 1.5 swingweights light. The KBS will build 2 swingweight points light. Keep in mind that we can build the club heavier if it is requested so make the swingweight request if you want it a little heavier than it will build at naturally.

Sounds good cathi, what are the swing weight ranges for the new 712MB?? I have always struggled to get iron heads heavy enough for the the set up I need. I like playing my irons at 1/4" under and D3

Standard swingweight for the 712 MB at 1/4" short, standard shaft and stock grip will be C9.5-D1.5. If you put a New Decade on it, that will bump it up about 1 swingweight. If you want them at D3, make that request when putting in your order and they will do their best to build them at D3. Keep in mind, we have a one swingweight tolerance, so if the best they can build it is within one swingweight of your request, they will be built at that swingweight.

Standard swingweight for MB or CB irons with the stock shaft (DYG S300)at std length and a New Decade would be D3 +/- 1 swingweight. The Tour Velvet cord grip will be D2 +/- 1. Anytime you have a concern with swingweight, be sure to specify your swingweight on your order.
