Have you had a chance yet to test-drive the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls? Here at Titleist, we're more excited about this generation of V and X than any in recent memory. Why? Because Golf Ball R&D has improved every aspect of both models, from core to cover. There's a lot to learn about the new innovations packed into the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x, so to break it all down, our creative team produced the video above, where Senior Golf Ball Product Manager, Frederick Waddell and several leaders from Golf Ball R&D discuss the changes - From Core Cover - and how each improvement will help you to play better and have more fun out on the course this season.

    Hope you enjoy the video!

Enjoyed the new Pro V1. May be my ball of choice this year. Of course looks like a new AVX next fall/winter. So we'll see.

After playing AVX for the past two and a half years (and still quite satisfied with its overall performance, but specifically in wind and/or cold), I'm ordering 8 dozen of the new 2021 Pro V1 for the new season. I was lucky enough to receive a test sleeve in January, as were so many others here. Unfortunately, I was only able to test it in winter conditions between 35* and 48*. Even so, it is clear to me this will be my primary ball for the upcoming season. (The AVX may still get some play on those cooler, breezier days. That remains to be seen yet.) I only expect to experience even better performance out of the new Pro V as the temps rise, which will, hopefully, be within the next month.

Now, I just have to decide whether I want all white or a few dozen in yellow too. I like the traditional look of white, but really enjoy the visibility of yellow in certain conditions. And, yellow is much easier to find when you hit them where you shouldn't. Not that I ever do that! ;-)

Thanks, Rick. Took both 2021 Pro-v's and the new AVX to a ball fitting. It was subtle, but the X won in head-to-head this time with current clubs. I have avoided the X in the past because it felt too hard on less than perfect strikes. The new version feels much better on my more average shots and gives me the best spin with wedges.

Great video. As always interesting to hear the inside scoop from the R&D department.

I feel guilty getting a test box but still being in a place where that evil cold white stuff coats the earth, and being unable to get out and give them a proper test. HOPEFULLY coming soon. Been an X guy for years now, but I'll be giving both a test to see which feels better. Thanks Titleist

“this is my golfball, there are many like it but this one is mine. This golf ball is my best friend…”

If that’s a familiar creed than you should know that titleist took a regimented approach to this new ProV1. For starters I just took advantage of the buy 3 get the 4th free deal. So the rub is, this ball made me regret that titleist Thursday’s aren’t in my area for 2021.

This ball was hit with my 917 Titleist driver set to 8.25 degrees. The numbers don’t lie but make me think, what if I had a new Tsi driver. “I will, I must.” Lastly was the the ball response with my new vokey wedges and voila, more looks at birdie. A golfers paired with me shared “you only need a driver and a chipper with your game.”

That game courtesy of titleist and the pursuit of better golf made simple. See for yourself I’m glad I had the opportunity where, thanks to titleist testing, 3 little balls or birds sat outside my window. I now now the excitement of a titleist parcel all I can say is wow along with many thanks.

  9. Any plans or talk on making the Pro V1x left dash balls in yellow?
