I scheduled a fitting for a TSR fairway wood for Thursday. Looking forward to it. On Saturday there is another demo day at a local golf facility, no appointment needed. I plan to purchase a TSR 3 wood if it fits the gap I need, but on Saturday I plan to hit some Vokey’s. Is it frowned upon if I show up to a demo day and don’t make a purchase? I’m just wanting to see what the differences are between the SM9’s and my Cleveland wedges.

On open demo days it is pretty common to see people test hit a few clubs without buying them. I must warn you that by hitting Vokey's you are setting yourself up for a future purchase. Kind of like doing a test drive of a Ferrari and then getting back into your Kia to go home. (No offense intended to you Kia owners, they are great cars too).

I have 2 buddies that are professional fitters for manufacturer's, 1 with Titleist, another with the 2nd best clubmaker out there, they'll both tell you that well under 50% of those that try clubs are ready for an immediate purchase.

To Dale: I've generously given my hand me down Vokey's to friends, some have said they can't hit them! My response was "most of the Tour players on the planet don't seem to agree with you!"
