    Ok so its day 5 into having the S**W on the ground and already The Basement Golf and Country club just isn't the same! I've already talked about going away within the next month down to Florida so fingers crossed and somewhere in February :( It's going to be a long, cold winter hitting balls into a net...VERY depressing...

    What's your plan this winter? Any exciting trips or goals to work on over the winter ?

    We had hoped to get away this winter for at least a couple of weeks for some golfing in Florida, however my wife had some health issues and that would prevent us from being able to get travel health insurance. That is just to big of a risk now days.

    So - That means I will be spending a lot of time in the Basement Golf and Country Club (I like that). 

    I do think I will head down to the heated outdoor driving range near Weston Road and Highway 7. It is nice to practice the putting and short chips in the basement, but getting the chance to take the full swings out on the range and watch the ball flight will be a huge bonus. The goal is just to keep the muscles loose and accustomed to the swing movements which are not at all like shoveling snow :)

    Winter is so depressing isn't it? Putting on the carpet or even going to the local golf sim place just doesn't cut it. I had an invitation for some time at a friends winter home in Mexico but with my schedule it just won't work so I and my hubby are among those who must just wait and dream for spring. Both of us have just bought SC putters so we'll be content to practice with those I guess. :) I hope everyone has fun over the winter no matter how you get to deal with it.

    I Love it! "The Basement Country Club".. Never heard that one before. I like many of you are in a bit of withdrawl. I am waiting on my 915 D3 driver, 3w and hybrid which are being built as we speak, and yet when they get here I will be depressed because I cant play them anywhere :( I go on an annual trip to Orlando to play Southern Dunes and orange lakes and others each year around March 20th and we are going again. This year I signed up for a winter hitting program where I at least hit in a heated bay out onto the driving range so that will be pretty cool. Maybe if I'm lucky I will take my wife and I away in February and she will let me bring the clubs if I bribe her lol. All the best gang! Stay warm and loose this winter. James :)

    Well at least everyone is taking care of the itch to play some way or another. December plans have been canned :( but February for sure possible California again or quick trip down to Miami

    I wish I going south to play this winter but I don't have the time. I will try to go to the simulator and over to the launch at highway #7 and Weston Rd when the weather permits. But for the most part will just practice chipping and putting at home like usual.

    I'll probably go in Florida in March, but I am going to hit many balls in nets and stuff like that. Hopefully in Montreal, we have a huge plastic dome so we can hit balls and see our trajectory for maybe 90 yards, which is nice! Training is also in my programm for this winter.

    i'll be heading to Phoenix in March for the annual boys week of golf. I look forward to the time down there every year to get the season started. lets just hope the real cold stays away so it doesn"t feel like too long of a winter.

    Well I was hoping to head pack down to Florida but my budget is a little tight this year due to some extra spending that I have done. But if things change I would love to go to North Carolina and visits some clubs their. Cheers Steve H.
