There are lots of great courses in the DFW area (and it's a very large area). What part of the DFW area are you focusing on?

The Tribute Golf Club and Old American Golf Club are just down the street from each another. If in The Colony and enjoy links style golf, give them a try.

Huge metro area so it's very dependent on where you will be. If you're in the North metro give The Tribute (Irish & Scottish links replica holes) a try. Fun, interesting, playable, and reasonably priced. Old American is across the road from the Tribute. It's a bit more expensive and challenging but still enjoyable. If you play Old American move up one set of tees from where you would normally play. You'll have a lot more fun.

i played Iron Horse a couple years ago when i was there and enjoyed it. I was also lucky enough to be able to play Colonial with a member so unless you have an in there that one is out. There are a ton of courses to pick from, so i guess my suggestion based on my time there would be Iron Horse.
