They can do that but it won't meet USGA specs. Personally, I'm appalled the USGA didn't change the specs when the new balls came out in the late 1990's. The solid balls should have been forced to perform like the would balls. Merion is going to be assaulted…
At first id wasn't sure about he new aim marker but now i like it better than the old one. I like the new model better.

Christian is correct. The ProV1x+ flies slightly higher.
I doubt that there will be any public testing. The + ball is tour only and new ProV's are on a 2 year cycle just like clubs, and they just released the new model.

The 822OS looks to be similar material to the DCI Black which is spec'd as investment casting made of 431 stainless steel. Is the 822OS club SS as well? Polishing my clubs and SS takes a different compound than carbon steel.
