On Nov 12th, I pulled out a Pro V1 that I had used for 2 prior rounds. It was a bit scuffy, but I used it anyway...for my lowest ever round of 1 over par. That banged up ball now sits on a bookshelf in my den along with my scorecard and my prized signed…
One highlight was picking up my Scotty Cameron Newport II and putting lights out my first time on course. Fired one under to truly impress my pals. Now they all want one. It helped that my Volkey wedges and ProV1s were at their best.
Holing out on a 169 yarder in a tournament where two foursomes played together. We were competing to the max , but when my ProV1 dropped, all 8 guys were celebrating wildly..high 5's and hugs. It was great, and I couldn't top that again.

Without question ... my greatest golf memory of 2011 was shooting a 69 in the Division 2 Michigan High School State Golf Championship at Michigan State University. A close 2nd - playing in the 100th Michigan Amateur in June.
