Fleetwood and Im Claim Early Wins for Titleist Golf Ball Players

The winning momentum continues for Titleist players this week, as Titleist golf ball loyalists collected two more titles around the globe.

It's been a quick start to the new season, as Titleist golf ball players have now recorded 13 victories across the worldwide professional tours, more than four times the nearest competitor with 3.

To date this season, the game's finest players have relied on a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball 1,947 times, nearly seven times the nearest competitor with 286 and more than all competitors combined.

This week marked the first event on the 2018 European Tour calendar, where Titleist golf ball loyalist Tommy Fleetwood (Pro V1x) fired a final round 7-under-par 65, including six birdies on the back nine, to successfully defend his title at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Fleetwood, the 2016-17 European Tour Player of the Year and Race to Dubai champion, posted a 22-under-par 266 victory total in windy conditions, two shots clear of fellow Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Ross Fisher.

The win was Fleetwood’s fourth career European Tour title, while Fisher posted his third runner-up finish in six European Tour appearances following a final round of 69.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Matthew Fitzpatrick (Pro V1x), who shot a 9-under-par 63 on Saturday, closed with three consecutive birdies for a closing 69 to tie for 3rd, as three Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalists were among the top four finishers.

Titleist was the top choice in the golf ball category in Dubai with 83 players relying on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 18.

Titleist golf ball loyalists have now won four of the first five events on the 2017-18 European Tour.

The 2018 season also kicked off this week on the Web.com Tour, where Titleist golf ball loyalist Sung-jae Im (Pro V1x) closed with a 7-under-par 65 in windy conditions to win the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic.

Im became the 16th player in the history of the Web.com Tour to win in his first start.

The 19-year-old from South Korea finished at 13-under-par 275 at Sandals Emerald Bay, good for a four-shot victory over fellow Pro V1x loyalist Carlos Ortiz of Mexico. Ortiz birdied the final hole for a 69 to break out of a five-way tie for second.

The Web.com Tour will stay in the Bahamas one more week with the first round of the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic beginning Sunday.

The Sunday start is a new innovation being tested this season to allow more television coverage for the Web.com Tour.

Titleist was the top choice in the golf ball category in the Bahamas with 94 players relying on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than five times the nearest competitor with 17.
