The 5th hole at Robert Trent Jones Palmetto Dunes is a 182 yard par 3 from the blue tees. The hole played with a variable downwind. The tee shot must clear two front bunkers which are elevated enough to obscure the ball once it lands on the green. We didnt see the ball land and since the shot was struck well with the wind I thought the ball went into the back trap or over the back of the green. Found the ball mark 15 feet under the hole however the ball was not on the green and was not found in the back trap, the front traps or over the back of the green. Finally I checked the cup and found the ball inside. Seemed anticlimatic compared to watching a hole in one from the tee.
