My First Hole In One in 23 years

I've been playing for 23 years and I've come close multiple times. Labor Day 2012 was different. I was playing with my boss and and a couple of other work buddies, so obviously this was the best time to get the oh so elusive hole-in-one. We pull up the 2nd hole at Champions Golf Course near Columbus, Ohio and something felt a little different to me, it was strange, very hard to describe. Anyway, I get the yardage, it's 158 up a little hill. The pin was nestled in the back portion of the green, I decide to pull my 8 iron out. I do my normal pre-shot routine and take my swing, I hit a nice high draw and it's heading right for the pin. The ball hits directly behind the pin and disappears. We couldn't quite tell if it dropped because of the way the green sits. We all thought it did. So I have to wait for the next 3 guys to hit, it seemed like forever. All I wanted to do was hurry to the green to check. The other 3 guys hit...I then jump in the cart and speed up to the green. Once we get close to the green I don't see a ball up there....it has to be in. I run onto the green and see my ball mark about a foot behind the hole...and BOOM I see my ball in the bottom of the cup!!! I completely lost it!!! This will be the first of many more. Giddy up!
