Sue was in the cart looking down at her phone, Carol had just come out of the bathroom, and Gene was standing behind me watching the shot. I hit a good clean 5 iron with a slight fade. Gene called out "that's right on target" so the girls both looked up. The ball landed about 5 feet in front of and just left of the pin, rolled and just plain disappeared! Someone yelled out "oh my God, it went in the hole!" I was in disbelief and walked to the side to see if it was maybe just hiding behind the pin but it was clear as day that it went in! I felt sorry for the two guys playing behind us as we spent the next fifteen minutes taking pictures but they were excited also and very understanding. Believe me, it happens when you least expect it. What a thrill!!!
