It was 11:30 am playing in my favorite biweekly golf group named "The Rudy Group". There were 44 players playing that day. I was the 3rd one off the tee. I used a pitching wedge. Slow swing, good impact and relatively high. It was into the sun so I didn't actually see the ball hit the green. However 2 of the other 3 in my foursome did see it as they had their eyes shielded from the sun. The ball struck the front of the green and then rolled about 4' into the cup. They all started yelling, but I didn't believe them as this group has a lot of wiseackers in it. When I got to the green and walked to the cup, there was my Pro V1x starring back at me. I am still revelling over the feat. My bar bill was $65. However, the payout from the Hole in One fund was $650 okys $35 for "Closet to the Pin" bets. A day I will truly never forget.
