Just when I felt discouraged about my ballstriking

My dad wanted to play our local golf course today (Sunday, 9/9/2012). I was apprehensive at first because I played last weekend and played my worst round of the year (hooked or pushed most of my tee shots and shot a 95 and lost 6 Pro v1x's). But of course I obliged. I had one swing thought that actually worked perfectly today: don't stop turning your hips through the zone or else you'll snap hook it.

Anyway, we reach hole #5 which is a short par 3 from the white tees. It's labeled at 120 yards but with white markers and pin location that day, played a bit longer. I used my rangefinder that came back as 133. Knowing the hole plays into a constant wind, I swung a hard 8-iron (which is my 137 yard club) and hoped it would spin back. I pured it, held my finish, and watched as the ball launched toward the flag. I saw it bounce and disappear. I got confused and thought to myself: "Did I really clear the green into the wind?". My dad and I looked for my ball for a couple seconds just off the fringe with no luck. I eventually glanced at the hole and noticed a ball mark a few inches above the hole. I thought to myself: "There's a chance, but I doubt it…". I walked toward the hole inquisitively and saw a small white ball with my ball marking on it. Two dots. One red. One black. I realized just hit my first ace.
