Not having a bad day at just one over par coming to the par 3, 145 yard 9th Tee.
Ironically, I made my first and only other ace on this exact same hole in 2007. Being as I play this course often, I pretty much know my club here is a 9 iron to a middle pin, no wind. This day was gusting in our faces so I pulled my 8 iron. My natural shot shape is a draw and I clearly got the ball started right of the pin just right (so to speak). One bounce and it disappeared. I think there was a little disbelief by all given the momentary silence, as I ran to the right of the Tee box to see if it was actually hidden behind the pin ... when everybody started screaming. To be honest, the best part of this experience was the affect on my playing partners whose excitement of having just witnessed their first Hole-in-One brought me more joy than my actually doing it!
