Had an eagle 2 at a golf course in Boone, NC, on Sunday, July 1. Thought that would be my shot of the year, until today.

I was not playing too well on the front nine at Pine Knolls GC today, July 3, 2012. But I felt pretty good after parring the difficult number 10. Then on the par 3, 175 yard, eleventh hole, I hit a "knock down" 6 iron at the center of the green, it drew a little bit, hit the green, checked up, rolled a few feet and went in.

I am new to this area, but I had thrown in 5 bucks last year for the hole-in-one pool. Won the pool and put a nice slice of the cash on the bar.

The new Velocity is a nice ball for people who play at my level - 11 handicap. It holds greens well enough and really goes if you hit it good. Glad I made the change to the Velocity!
