My buddy and I decided to go out to the golf course, despite the threat of rain. He had been talking up this course named Frosty Valley the night before, so that's where we decided to go. When we got there, the lady in the pro shop thought we were crazy, as it had already begun to rain. As we played the first 4 holes, I found many of the holes to be risk reward, and in the rain, why not go for it a little. I was 2 over par by hole # 5, a 361 yard, downhill, dogleg left par 4. Dan (my buddy) said, "You can cut the corner here and get close, although I have never made the green." So, I lined up my tee shot, and striped that beautiful Pro V1x #1 right into the gap toward the hidden green. Dan yelled, "That's on the green." I just knew there was no way, so I only hoped I was close to the green for a pitch up. When I got down to the green, I couldn't spot my ball. I thought it must be lost. As I walked up onto the green, I decided to look into the cup just to rule that out. There she was, that beautifu Pro V1x #1 in the bottom of the cup. I pulled it out and held it up to show Dan, and he went crazy. We talked about the shot for the next 4 holes, and Dan said it was the first hole in one he ever saw. It was my second, although the first was on a par 3. Unfortunately, the hole in one blew my concentration, and I took a 7 and a 9 on the next two holes, but who cares when you hit a hole in one on a par 4. When I told the Pro, he informed me that it was the first hole in one ever on that hole. What a great day to play golf in the rain.
