Hit it Flush for First Hole in One

I have been playing golf for 23 years now and been a mid single digit handicap for the past 15 years but never had a hole in one. In 2012 I came very close 4 or 5 times, seemingly burning the edges of the hole. On this day, I was playing in a match play tournament at my club. On the eighth hole, with a commanding lead, my partner hit his shot short and then said he was sure the club he had was right for 165 yards. I actually didn't have enough club and went back to my bag and pulled a six iron. The pin was back right on the hole, not an easy shot for sure. I hit the ball flush and almost immediatley the whole foursome knew the shot was tight. It had a slight fade and settled close to the pin but from where we stood it was still visible. I drove up to the green, ahead of my playing mates who were walking and as I came onto the green noticed the the ball was below the surface and realize it was wedged between the pin and the edge of the cup. It was such an odd feeling to tell everyone it was in. I actually tried to go back to my bag and get my camera but then the ball fell in. Quite the great experience. Hoping for more of the same in the future but not taking another 23 years for number 2.
