Divine Intervention

I was a member at this club since its grand opening in 1995. Played there regularly for 16 years but never had a hole in one on my home course. Had three at other courses, but never at home. As we all know, priorities in life can change. This is what happened to me, so I decided to cancel my membership effective September 30, 2011. I played my final round as a member on September 29, with a group of friends. I came to the last par three I would ever play as a member and thought to myself how I had been there 16 years and never had an ace. Well, I hit my tee shot and it was the ugliest thing imaginable. It barely got airborne, barely made it over the creek, hit the face of the mound guarding the green, bounced in the air, rolled toward the hole and disappeared. It was obviously divine intervention, telling me that though the decision to leave was a very difficult one, it was definitely the correct one.
