Cold Day for a Hole in One

The par 6th at GHCC is a severe uphill 146 yard par three. It was 55 degree cold New England October afternoon and the wind was behind us. The pin was in the toughest section of the green; front right red pin placement. My playing partner chose to hit wedge and hit a good shot but we weren't sure it cleared the green side grass bunker. I chose not to hit wedge instead I choked down on the 9 iron. I hit a good shot right of the pin and over the bunker. When we approached the green we saw one ball short of the pin by about eight feet, I thought that was my ball. As we approached the ball my playing partner noticed it was his ball and kidding he looked in the hole...to his amazement there was my ball!!
