Calm but windy day

Playing in my first stroke play tournament after moving to San Diego, I had joined a social membership at CrossCreek Golf club in Temecula. I was coming down with a cold and didn't feel well, missing a two foot putt on #1 and a 4 foot put on #2 to save par, I felt like I was going to have a bad round for the rest of the day. I was first up on the tee as the group didn't play very well the first two holes and we were unsure how much the wind would effect the shot. The pin was just over a tough high front bunker, I drew the ball over a hanging tree and with one bounce it rolled a couple of feet into the hole. I hadn't ever had one nor seen one before and didn't know how to react. Cheers started going and two put in their drink order for after the round. I did manage to save a around of 78 after getting a little encouragement after that shot. Certainly the best looking shot that I have ever had, we talked about it all day.
