An unexpected event
By Len P On 12 March 2012
I was playing with a friend as a guest at the Islandside Golf Course in Longboat Key, Fla. I was hitting the ball pretty good for this time of year today being a snowbird vacationer for past two weeks from the Northeast. It was a bit windy today. On par three 135 yard hole uphill over a trap with wind behind us. Due to the uphill terrain and needing to hit over a large sandtrap in front of green, I figured that to be safe I needed an 8 iron. I pulled the club out of my bag,hit the ball with a high projectory and the ProV1 ball sailed with the wind, took one 4 foot bouce checking up going directly into the hole on it's first bounce. I was obviously estatic... looked at my club and realized it was a 9 iron..not the planned 8 iron. Just to prove there is a lot of luck involved, and thus I am very grateful to the golf gods.
Better lucky than good : - )
