Witnessed a hole-in-one by my playing partner earlier in the year, that just wetted my thirst to get my first ace, after 50 years of golfing. Struck a 9-iron on the 7th hole, Par 3, 118 yards at Tierra Rejada in Simi Valley, CA. The base of the pin was obstructed by the lip of the sand trap in front of the green. We saw it bounce twice and heard it hit the pin, ran out of the cart, dropped my camera, and was relieved to see my Titleist 3 Tour-Distance golf ball in the cup.
