4th of July Hole in one

I went out for a round of golf with my father in law at the local golf course near Devils Lake outside of Adrian Michigan. We got ready to tee off on the second hole when we noticed a member of the ground crew still working in the bunker in front of the hole. There were two other grounds crew members working on the tee box who got him to move aside. I went through my pre-shot routine and hit, from the box it was hard to see exactly where the ball had landed. From the lack of reaction from the grounds crew member near the green I figured it was just close and not in the hole.

Once we got near the green I noticed there was no ball on the green. Now I assumed it hit the flag and rolled off the edge. As I approached the hole the ground crew member said "your balls in the cup." The ball had hit behind the hole and spun back into the hole. Half excited for the shot and half confused from the grounds crew members reaction it was a very memorable first hole-in-one.
