6/10/2012 - My 40th birthday, playing golf at Rolling Meadows Country Club in Ellington, CT, hole 8 - 183 yards. Up until that hole I wasn't playing particularly well, scrambling my way around the course at 5 over par through seven holes. Hole number 8 is a downhill par 3 playing at 183 yards that day. I teed up my Titleist NXT tour golf ball high so I could hit a high 6 iron. Halfway through the ball flight one of the guys in my group says "ring the bell, that's going in". Needless to say it hit the green, took one bounce and rolled into the hole. 40th Birthday and my first Hole in One - pretty incredible day.
