It was the day after my 33rd birthday and i was in a foursome with my brother and two friends and we were on the 2nd hole. We were playing in an outing and this hole had been designated as, "closest to the pin."

The first golfer stepped up and hit it right at the pin, it looked like it settled inches from the hole. We figured it wasn't getting any closer and he was going to win the closest to.

I stepped up next and hit a high wedge a few feet past the hole and it stuck and spun back and dropped. My initial reaction was that it went in but in the back of my head I thought, "I hit his ball in and mine is sitting up there..." So I reserved my belief until we got up to the hole and sure enough I plucked MY ball out of the hole and his was resting one revolution from the bottom of the cup. Two of the closest shots I've ever witnessed, back to back.
