Matthew Fitzpatrick Leads 5-Win Week for Titleist Golf Ball Players

On golf's biggest stages, the winning ways continue for Titleist, as Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists combined for five more titles around the globe over the weekend.

Titleist golf ball players have now recorded 152 victories across the worldwide professional tours, more than six times the nearest competitor with 24.

Leading the way this week, Titleist golf ball loyalist Matthew Fitzpatrick (Pro V1x) captured a European Tour title for the third consecutive season, topping fellow Pro V1x loyalist Scott Hend in a playoff at the Omega European Masters.

In Canada, Titleist golf ball loyalist Kramer Hickok (Pro V1) captured his second Mackenzie Tour title of the year, winning in playoff fashion at the Ontario Championship.

Halfway around the world, Titleist golf ball loyalist Yi Keun Chang (Pro V1x) captured the Teeupㆍgswing MEGA OPEN for his second career Korean Tour victory.

In South Africa, Titleist golf ball loyalist MJ Viljoen (Pro V1x) broke through with his maiden win on the Sunshine Tour, earning a one-shot victory at the Sun Fish River Challenge.

And finally, Titleist golf ball loyalist Oscar Faustro relied on a Pro V1 golf ball to capture his second career victory on the PGA TOUR Latinoamerica.

At the Mackenzie Tour’s Ontario Championship, Titleist golf ball loyalist Kramer Hickok (Pro V1) closed with a second consecutive 8-under-par 64 on the weekend to set the clubhouse lead at 19-under-par 269. Hickok, who started the final round eight shots behind the overnight leader, then posted a birdie on the fourth extra hole of a sudden death playoff to earn his second victory of the year.

Hickok won the Players Cup earlier this season.

This week’s win solidified Hickok’s position atop the Order of Merit and a guaranteed spot in The Five, assuring him Web.com Tour status for 2018.

Hickok finished second in his two previous starts at the National Capital Open and Cape Breton Open.

With only the Freedom 55 Financial Championship left this season, the only scenario keeping Hickok from finishing No. 1 on the Order of Merit would be a win by Titleist Brand Ambassador Robby Shelton (Pro V1x) next week and a finish of worse than 19th by Hickok.

Shelton is currently No. 2 on the Order of Merit and finished in a tie for 4th this week.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Ontario Championship with 86 players relying on a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 20.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Yi Keun Chang (Pro V1x) closed the final round of the Teeupㆍgswing MEGA OPEN with five birdies and no bogies, en route to a 5-under-par 67 and 28-under-par 260 victory total, two shots clear of SungJae Im (Pro V1x) and JeongHyup Hyun (Pro V1).

This marks the second career KPGA Tour win for Chang.

Nine of the 11 players who finished among the Top 10 and ties relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the event with 108 players in the field of 132 trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, nearly 10 times the nearest competitor with 11.

In South Africa this weekend, Titleist golf ball loyalist MJ Viljoen (Pro V1x) earned a one-shot victory at the Sun Fish River Challenge to secure his first career Sunshine Tour title.

Viljoen carded a final round 7-under-par 65 en route to a 13-under-par 203 victory total, one shot clear of three players, including Titleist Brand Ambassador Justin Harding (Pro V1).

Titleist Brand Ambassador Neil Schietekat (Pro V1x) shared 5th place, another shot back.

Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the Sun Fish River Challenge with 61 players in the field of 80 trusting a Po V1 or Pro V1x, more than three times the nearest competitor with 17.

It took three extra holes, but Titleist golf ball loyalist Oscar Fraustro (Pro V1) finally prevailed with a birdie to end the playoff and enter the winner's circle at the San Luis Championship.

Fraustro shot a final round 2-under-par 70 in his native Mexico to grab a share of the clubhouse lead at 9-under-par 279.

The win marks the second career victory for Fraustro on the PGA TOUR Latinoamerica.

Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the San Luis Championship with 105 players in the playing the Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than seven times the nearest competitor with 14.
