If this has been discussed before then please excuse since I couldn’t find it before I wrote this thread. I was wondering if the bounce and grind are the same across all the different versions of vokey wedge. So if I was looking at a SM 10 60.14 K it would be the same for a SM 7 or 8 ?

Thanks for everyone’s suggestions and help.

Some models are available in common grinds and others have skipped around. You will find F, S, and M in most models but some A, T, V, K have skipped some releases. If you find say, the M grind in multiple releases, some wedge features will be different but the sole grind will be the same. A case where it is different in this week's announcement on the SM10 K Low Bounce. It will be the normal wide K sole but not the same bounce. It will be 6 degrees instead of the normal 14 degrees.

Ok, thanks Dale. That makes a lot of sense. I wanted to be sure since when I did the wedge fitting it was recommended to me 54 10 S / 60 14 K in the SM 10 but a 54 12 D / 60 12 K in SM 7 wedges.

I played SM4 for some time. The M grind was 11* bounce and L was 6* T was 7*. My wedge setup for awhile was 54-11M, 58-06L and 64-07T.

What's remained consistent since SM5 is S grind is 10*, M grind is 8* and L grind is 4*. They dropped T grind after SM5 and no longer carry 64* loft as production since SM4. I've played a Callie "Phil 64" for 6 years now, alternating with a Wedgeworks 64W since 2020.

The pitching wedge bounces used to be 6* at SM5 and went to 10* at least since SM8. The 50 and 52 have always been consistent with 8* bounce.

    SM6 K grind was 12*. Since SM7, it has been 14*.

D grind, I believe, was introduced at SM8.

What works for me is 48-10F, 54-10S, 60-14K and 60-04L all bent 2* strong. My wedge setup of 46-52-58-64 has worked like a charm since 2021. I tinkered with D grind and T grind for the past year and went back to K grind plus found out a strong L grind works better than T grind. I went from M grind to K grind in 2018.
  5. Grinds and Bounces are as stated on wedges and do not change drastically however weight placement and grooves do change from version to version....
