Okay - The hype is not wasted for the new TSi Driver ! I had a fitting today (a big thank you to Nick Keeler and Rob Gavarkovs) and my decision is made. The new TSi2 was the one that worked best for me. I did try the TSi3 and loved the shape, but the TSi2 just felt better and the results spoke for themselves. I gained club head speed, and a full 10 yards which at my age is an awesome improvement. What I liked the most was the fact that my ball flight seemed so much better and more consistent. Hitting the ball outside gave me the ability to hear the sound which I know means more to some than others. My first thought was that it sounded more solid than my 917D2. Made me think of the old persimmon driver when I first heard it. It sure doesn't play like a persimmon though :) After settling in on the driver specs it was time to try the fairway metal. Once again, I ended up with a TSi2 in my hands and what I loved was the fact that I could watch it fly in the air, and land on the distant green softly at around 210 yds. I never would have thought that was possible from that distance until I tried this new club !!! My current 913 fairway metal would travel that far, but had to roll out to get there. That is not always possible on many greens that are protected by bunkers or water. I am sold - No question I need to meet with my club pro this week to get a price and place the order. It is only sad that I will have to wait until next season to put it into play. I hope to hear from others who get the chance to try the new TSi Metals.

    Bragg Creek,

    That's awesome to hear!!
The TSi3 is near perfect and I found that it launched lower and spun a little less that TS3. Most of the gains I saw were in the roll out. That'll have to be proven on course, but the look is the best I've ever seen and so is the sound. I finally won't need earplugs in the simulator. Sadly, the shaft offerings didn't do anything for me, which is no shocker. I ended up with quite an expensive upgrade, but that's usually how it goes for me.

I also went for a fitting. Ended up being fit into the TSi3. I gained 2mph ball speed and 8 yards carry distance. The impressive thing for me was dispersion. I hate the left miss being a left handed player and that was eliminated during the fitting. I love the shape of the TSi3 and the sound of it. I've always liked the shape of a smaller head club. The woods I was smashing far!!!! I feel very comfortable with a 3 wood so I don't hold back with that club. I had I think 147 ball, speed with the 3 wood and around 152 with the driver.
They told me you can buy directly from Titleist this year which you could never do before.

Sorry I missed you at Eagles Nest, but I believe that because of COVID they spread out the fittings in order to clean and disinfect. So glad you had a great experience. Your ball speed is significantly higher than mine, but that is likely why we benefit from getting fit for the head and shaft combinations that work best for us :)

Glad to see your fitting went well Darius. Now you got me super stoked some more for my fitting coming up next weekend.

I’m stilling running my 913D2 that I was fitted for a long long time ago when I was golfing hardcore. Curious to see what’s in store with all these new changes over the years. Definitely gotta be some better numbers out there for me with all the technology.

I’m booked in with Nick and have heard lots of good things about how well he does his fittings. Will keep everyone posted on what the outcome is.
  6. I had my fitting last night. I really liked the new 5 wood compared to my current model. Thanks Nick. Thank you Titleist. First class operation.
  7. Great results so far from Darius, Jason and Brad! Looking forward to working with other TT members!

First off I wanna give a big shout out to Nick and Rob at the Fitting Center here at Eagles Nest. Stand up job and it was an absolute pleasure to be invited out to get fit for the new TSI metals.

Let me tell you after playing my 913D2 for years now, stepping up into the new TSI was a total game changer. I seen huge improvements and gains from the TSI2 driver and 3 wood. It’s now gonna be ordered and put right in my bag right away. Not only did I gain yardage but my swing speed also picked up.

If you get a chance, don’t miss your opportunity to try them out. You won’t be disappointed

Stephen... I agree it would be nice to get together with a bunch of the TT members. Alas - due to the pandemic and the need to ensure our safety, this year the crew at Titleist had TT Members coming in one at a time and from what I could see spaced far enough apart to do a good cleaning in between fittings. I certainly appreciate the extra effort they went through to ensure our safety... If you don't manage to get in this fall or winter, there is always the Free fitting Thursdays they hold during the summer :)
  14. Sounds like you were fitted into a winning combo Darius, Jason and Brad. I’m hoping to be able to participate in TT events again next year. I really do miss them.
  15. Picked up my new 5 wood from Golftown yesterday. Christmas came early. Played today at Rebel Creek. Money well spent. It was a great way to end the season. Maybe. Hopefully, we get some more games in during December.
