    It is almost time for the Masters !!!! I love watching the Masters on the tube. It looks so beautiful through the lens of the television camera. I am sure some of the beauty comes from the fact that I am sitting here watching the flowers and green fairways while looking longingly out the window waiting patiently for the courses up here to open. I imagine however that it must be a real treat to be there live.

    My question is... Have you been there to watch the Masters in person ? Is it as beautiful in real life as they make it look on TV, or do they just capture the best parts for their broadcasts? Care to share some pics of your visit with the rest of us at TT ? Darius

    I have never been to augusta. I sit and watch the masters religiously for all four rounds. My favourite tourney of the year. every Wednesday during the off season the group I golf with meets for some adult beverages. Well on the last Wednesday one of the guys mentioned that his son bought him tickets for the masters and he is off to watch it. I offered to go to carry his suitcase but my offer was declined . I was crushed.

    I have never been - consistently lose out in the ballot - but from friends that have gone I understand that it is better in real life! Everyone i know that has gone has said that the TV pictures don't and can't do the place justice! Hard to believe!

    I have been and posted about before on this site, suffice it to say that you won't believe the attention to detail in 'every aspect', trust me! If there is a golf course in heaven, this is what God would have built and put up there and played!

    Great questions Darius!

    I am very interested in hearing some input from those who have already attended The Masters, as my Dad and I are making our first trip down to Augusta for the Monday practice round at this years tournament. Needless to say I am pretty excited. I think what I'm looking forward to most is seeing my Dads face when we finally get there. He is easily the biggest Masters fan I know.

    We will be staying in Aiken, GA and we will definitely be tipping it up for a few rounds before our day at Augusta.
