I’m the first to tee off. Use my 48 degree PW. Lined up my shot and hit it super clean. Looking at my ball, looking at the pin back and forth, I knew it would be close. Takes one bounce and the ball just disappeared!! The boys and I couldn’t believe it. I was playing at my local corse Rushmere golf club in Ipswich Suffolk. I was on the 6th tee and the last to hit out of the 4 ball. All the others had hit good shots but you can’t tell how good as the green is in a sunken bowl out of sight from the tee box. There are trees and bunkers that can catch your ball. I hit a really nice 9 iron into the 164 yard hole. It looked good. We walked down to the green and could only see 3 balls we thought one of my playing partners had gone long into the trees. But his ball was back edge of the green so we checked the hole and there was my number 4 proV1 sitting inside. The feeling was amazing using my T100s iron and reaping my TT cap. So happy to have got my 1st. We usually try and get out once a week on the weekends. I've been playing since 2019, never have had a hole in one, but have been close. I used to play Taylor Made TP5 balls, but recently made the switch to AVX because I really liked the feel in the simulator. Who knew today was the day. Went up to hit like any other shot. Flag was hitting 127 on my gps. Which is a light pitching wedge or a full swing approach wedge for me. I decided to club down because there wasn't alot of backboard to play with. Figured I'd rather be short. Full swing and the shot looked great. It landed about 3ft in front of the hole if I had to guess, then trickled down and disappeared. I blacked out for a second, then all the guys started screaming! I think I got 5 hugs from each of them, then sat on the ground of the tee box and had a good laugh. One of the coolest achievements of my life.
