On June 6, 2026, I made my first-ever hole-in-one while playing The Lido at Sand Valley in Wisconsin. The ace came on the 8th hole, the recreation of C.B. Macdonald’s legendary “Ocean” hole from the original Lido Golf Club in New York. The shot was 208 yards from the white tees and played into a strong wind with a left-to-right crosswind. Knowing the conditions, I aimed at the left side of the green and hit a low cut, intending to let the wind move the ball back toward the flag. The shot performed exactly as envisioned, holding its line through the wind, landing on the green, and ultimately finding the bottom of the cup. The golf ball was a Titleist Pro V1. What makes the accomplishment even more special is that the Head Golf Professional at The Lido confirmed that it was the first recorded hole-in-one ever made on the 8th hole since the course opened. To make my first ace on one of the most famous and challenging par-3 designs in golf—and to be the first person ever to record a hole-in-one there—is something I still have a hard time believing. The moment was made even more meaningful because I was playing alongside my father, allowing us to share an unforgettable experience together on a truly historic hole. I’ve played golf for many years and have enjoyed countless memorable rounds, but nothing compares to this. A 208-yard shot into the wind, on a hole inspired by one of the most iconic par 3s in golf history, with a Pro V1 in play, is a story I’ll be telling for the rest of my life. Thank you for making a golf ball that golfers trust when they need to execute a shot exactly as planned. I thought your team might appreciate hearing this story and wanted to thank Titleist for being part of such a special achievement. I replace a 5-year old png as the data was showing 5 extra yards and more importantly higher loft. The first opportunity I had to hit the GTS was a 2nd shot on the par 5 sixth hole. Smack!! 220 yards right down the middle for a 90-yard wedge shot remaining (with my Vokey of course). Love this new GTS!!

Forum Post: RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

Well what can i say. I went to my local pro and got fit for a GTS 2 driver tensei red and a GTS2 4 wood tensei blue to upgrade from my TSR2s . Driver gave me an extra 6 mph ball speed roughly extra 10 yards distance. Brilliant, hit it 7 times during my round and a rattle started like a piece of glue knocking about in it. Strange as it stopped on my next round. Ive hit my 4 wood 3 times in the round, went to clean it yesterday and noticed a crack in the toe as photo shows took it back to my local pro and he has swapped the head for the demo until Titleist get back to him. Frustrated but hopefully everything gets sorted. www.titleist.com/.../dtvvnekuhp7ztgjvlfm9

Forum Post: RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

Another David B, Fitted early for GT2, which I thought was clear step up and so was fitted early for GTS2 for curiosity. It’s more forgiving and gets me a club or two closer for an approach. Bought the driver and 3 wood with Tensi R-2 lite shaft for a 79 yr old. I’m a 10.9 from 13.6 in about 4 weeks. I even was able to trade in my former GT2 and 3 wood. All the metrics of the GTS4 - shot dispersion, carry, spin rate, showed improvement from my current TSR3. Hard to say how that translates to “on course” performance though. Got fitted for and ordered the new GTS4 on 17 May but it has not yet been delivered. Guidance on when it will arrive is ambiguous at best. Hopeful to have it for Father’s Day match with my boys.

Forum Post: RE: Titleist GTS Driver Reviews: Real Golfer Fitting Experiences

Was very excited to receive my GTS2 driver 2 weeks ago. I was not officially fitted for it as I was fitted for the GT3 driver and the shaft was already working well. I tried the different GTS models and settled on the GTS2. I attached my Ventus Velecore to it and dove right in. I absolutely love this driver and find the distance to be a bit longer on center hits but off center hits don't seem to lose much distance. it looks great, sounds great and the ability to shape tee shots is no doubt better. Thanks Titleist for such a great product.

Forum Post: GTS driver

After Titleist fitting I changed to the new GTS with an Ultra shaft. We spent nearly 3.5 hours together, even in the driving rain working through my entire bad from drive down to the wedges. the results were incredible. Michelle got everything dialed in perfectly. With the new GTS3 drive, I picked up about 15 yards compared to my previous TSR3. The biggest surprise was with the T250 irons. My old 718 AP3 which previous carrying around 167 yards, with the new club its in consistently over 180 yards. The attention to detail, knowledge and patience Michelle demonstrated the throughout the fitting process made a tremendous difference. Every club wa carefully evaluated and adjusted to optimize performance. I couldn't be happier with results and wanted to thank Michelle for her expertise and dedication. What a difference the right fit can make. Plus, i just signed up for a TT event in August can't wait.

Forum Post: RE: Northern Michigan

[quote user="Kyle J"]You're in for a treat for sure!!
