I purchased the new 7's as soon as I could, actually got them early. I normally buy 2 of each, especially the 54.08 which is my bread and butter. One I'll practice with, the other goes in the bag. After a month of only playing 2 rounds, and diligent practice, I put the new 50 and 54 in the bag. WELL, let's just say it was a good day! In 35 years and many tournament wins, I don't remember having a better day from 75-125 yards, all because my fitter put me in a 08 bounce. Walked away thinking the handicap was going back to the + side this year. I would normally say go to a fitter, but on this one I'm gonna say go to a GOOD fitter, there is a difference.

I'm a sweeper that takes minimal divots. Over time I've become more shallow through impact. I'm the guy that can flush an iron and not pull the tee out of the ground. Played a 10 bounce through the last couple series, the 08 has helped my pitch shots as well.

I have always played high bounce wedges. When I got fitted for my SM6's the fitter basically had to kick my butt to try the 08's. Long story short...My bag now consists of a 52, 56, and 60 all with 08 bounce. I feel the mid bounce gives me a chance at just about any shot in the playbook from any lie.
